Starting this Friday we will practice on the south end of the football field.  We have about two weeks to prepare for the Palmdale scrimmage ands we have quite a bit of work to do.

Good luck to the Cross Country girls who finish their season this weekend.  They have a chance to take first place in league!

Our goal this year is to score more goals than we allow to be scored on us.

Do you know what college you want to attend?  Go to the following site and click on a state and the names of the schools offering women's soccer programs will come up.  http://www.a2zcolleges.com/sports/soccer/  The reality is grades and your SAT scores are almost more important than your soccer ability.  Normally high SAT scores can offset a low GPA, and a high GPA can offset a lower SAT score.  Most universities are looking for Varsity playing time.  Club teams are important but there are a lot of places that do not have club teams (AYSO or a similar program is all that is available).  Attending an in residence summer camp is important as most scouts will attend a camp rather than go to several different schools.  Always encourage your high school coach to provide articles to the local newspaper and other media.  Have your parents (or a professional) take lots of photos and movies of you playing.  Find the school(s) you are interested in going to and make contact with the coaching staff.
